Dr Timothy Low is currently the Head of Medical Affairs Asia Pacific at Shire. He was awarded 2018 Rare Disease Champion Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific. Concurrently, he was also conferred the Icons of Healthcare – Leading Healthcare Management Professional of the year.

Prior to joining Shire, Dr Low served as CEO of Farrer Park Hospital, a private acute tertiary institution sited within Singapore’s first fully integrated healthcare and hospitality complex. It was awarded “Best New Hospital in Asia Pacific” and “Smart Hospital of the Year in Asia Pacific” in 2016/2017 respectively. He currently serves as a member of the hospital’s Board of Directors.

With 30 years tenure in both public and private practice, Dr Low brings to this role his operational and medical knowledge. He formerly held the positions of CEO of Gleneagles Hospital and as Medical Affairs senior executive across pharmaceutical and medical device industries at Covidien, Schering Plough, Covance and GlaxoWellcome, spanning more than 17 years.

He was also awarded the “50 Most Talented Healthcare Leaders of Asia” award as well as “Best CEO of the Year” in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
